Sonia Rykiel opened the doors to her Paris-based boutique in 1968, and was quickly hailed the ‘Queen of Knits’. Ever since she has infused fashion with her unique and liberated take on classic Parisian style. In 1990, Rykiel launched Sonia by Sonia Rykiel, the playful little sister to her synonymous mainline collection. The diffusion line has since developed its own cult following for its fun, often irreverent aesthetic, always with a hint of beatnik and doses of Left Bank cool. You can expect Breton stripes, polka dots and statement intarsia set against a peppy colour palette.
